Starting Point: Silent Invitation
In this space, the white canvas is like an untouched piece of paper, waiting for the audience's gaze and projection. There is no color, no lines, but it contains infinite possibilities. This is not only the starting point of the work, but also the entrance of thoughts - inviting you to talk with the canvas and think about where the creation starts.
Carving out a shape that does not exist
The artist works with the theme of "negative shapes" - not the sculpture itself, but the parts of it that are not carved. These works leave clear holes and grooves, like an absent object. The viewer will unconsciously "fill in" these shapes and reconstruct a sculpture in their mind that never actually existed.
Where the Light Stops
The works in this area focus on the flow of natural light and shadow: a beam of afternoon light falling from the window, the swaying shadows of trees on the wall, and the yellow-orange smudges cast by street lamps. These images do not emphasize events, but how light makes an ordinary space visible and remembered. What you see is the shape of light, which is also proof of the short stay of time.
"Awakening from the Mud"
Before there were any written words, cities or kingdoms on this land, early humans had already begun to think about how to live, record and create. This exhibition area selects dozens of prehistoric artifacts from Taiwan and East Asia - stone axes, pottery, jade ornaments and animal bone tools. Each of them has experienced thousands of years of weathering and changes in the times, but still retains strong traces of life.
